The Cobb County Board of Commissioners will hold a work session to discuss the public transit bills working their way through the Georgia legislature. The meeting will be held Monday, March 12 at 1:30 p.m. in the BOC Room on the second floor of 100 Cherokee St., Marietta. Public comment will be invited.
HB 930 and SB 386 are similar bills that would change the name of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority to the Atlanta-region Transit Link, or “ATL,” and provide for a local-option sales tax to enhance public transit in areas that opt into the system.
