Vinings Library and KSU present program on American musicals

American Musicals

Are you a fan of musicals, or interested in learning more about the American contributions to musical theatre? The Vinings Library is hosting a one-hour program, for residents 13 years of age and up, by KSU Artist-in-Residence Judy Cole, and students from Kennesaw State University.  It will be at the Vinings Library 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Wednesday, June 13.  It’s presented in partnership with the KSU School of Music.  The event is free but requires registration here. or by phoning the Vinings Library at 770-801-5330.

According to the announcement for the event  on the Cobb County Public Library website, “Judy Cole is a professor at Kennesaw State University as the Artist-in-Residence in Collaborative Piano, where her duties include playing with guest artists visiting the School of Music, coaching Opera and Musical Theatre, teaching piano and accompanying skills, and playing for campus events as needed. She is also Resident Music Director of the City Springs Theatre Company, and is also the pianist/organist at The Temple. She has a wide range of musical theatre experience including playing keyboards in touring Broadway show pit orchestras, directing shows for cruise ships, and musically directing shows at Kennesaw State University in the Theatre department.”

The library is located at 4290 Paces Ferry Road in Vinings.
