Vinings armed robbery leads to arrests

A Vinings armed robbery and shootout resulted in the arrests of Bobby Pierre-Louis, 33, Jean Therezie, 29, and Cory Saintit, 32, all of Miami, Florida, according to a report from Officer Sarah O’Hara of the Cobb County Police Department.

Officers from Precinct Three responded to the alleged robbery at the WestHaven Apartments on Paces Station Ridge in Vinings at around 5:20 p.m. on Saturday.

The preliminary report from investigators states that two suspects entered an apartment and robbed Juan Dolcine, 28,  of Miami, Florida and two unidentified victims at gunpoint. A suspected getaway driver waited outside. The two unidentified victims began shooting at the suspects, who returned fire before returning to their getaway car.

Precinct Two officers located the vehicle near Mableton Parkway and arrested all three suspects and charged them on suspicion of armed robbery and aggravated assault. One of the suspects had been shot during the exchange of gunfire and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.

According to Officer O’Hara’s report, “Three uninvolved vehicles were damaged by rounds fired during the exchange of gunfire at the robbery scene, and two uninvolved vehicles were damaged by the suspects’ vehicle as it left the scene. There was also one uninvolved apartment damaged by gunfire.”

Crimes Against Persons Division

The Crimes Against Persons Division of the Cobb County Police Department is broken down into several specialized units, to investigate homicides, robberies, technology-based crime, domestic violence and stalking, and crimes against children.  It has a unit that does crime analysis to identify evidence to help link cases and identify suspects.

The division also houses the Crime Scene Unit that according to the division’s website “is responsible for documenting and processing crime scenes to locate evidence, identify suspects, and to present evidence in criminal proceedings. Crime scene technicians are responsible for processing evidence utilizing a variety of procedures for fingerprint, DNA, and trace evidence.”
