According to a news release from the Cobb County Police Department, the manager of Icebox Jewelry in Atlanta, and his wife, were the victim of a home invasion robbery in their Cobb County home. The Cobb incident was accompanied by the burglary of the store, so the Cobb and Atlanta police departments are both investigating.
On Saturday at around 9:30 p.m. the store manager was followed home by armed robbers. He and his wife were forced into their house by two masked gunmen, who tied them up and took the keys to the jewelry store.
One suspect took the keys to the store and left to meet accomplices and burglarize the store. The other gunman took jewelry and cash from the home, and left the residence with the couple still tied up. There were no injuries during the incident.
The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the burglary at the store. Cobb police are are investigating the home invasion, and coordinating with the APD investigation.
