The HOA Network of the Mableton Improvement Coalition issue the following event announcement

HOA BOARDS – Is your HOA struggling with traditional and short term rentals such as Airbnb? Are buyers denied loans because of the number of rentals in your community?

The HOA Network of the Mableton Improvement Coalition (MIC) will hold its first HOA Forum of 2019 on Saturday, March 9th from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the South Cobb Regional Library, 805 Clay Road, Mableton, GA 30126.

The topic of discussion will be Dealing with Risks, including Rentals”, a critical topic for communities seeing a rise in Airbnb and similar non-traditional rental services.  The meeting will feature a panel of experts in insurance, financing, legal, and property management.  Because of the urgency of this issue, the event is open to members and non-members of the HOA Network.

Please RSVP to: hoanetwork@mableton.org.

What is the Homeowner Association Network?

According to the HOAN webpage:

The vision for MIC’s Homeowner Association Network (HOAN) is a network of neighborhood associations collaborating effectively to help make our area a great place to live, learn, work, play, and worship. The purpose of the Network is to provide a platform for Homeowner Associations (HOAs) to share ideas and best practices; improve communications and connections; build greater advocacy and community engagement. The Network’s objectives are:

  • Provide a forum to exchange ideas, best practices, and confer on common issues.
  • Develop a roster of HOA communities.
  • Communicate economic, political and zoning issues affecting the area.
  • Expand the pool of MIC membership.
