Steve Chayane Sanchez, 24, of Acworth was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with critical injuries after a single-vehicle crash that took place at around 2:35 a.m. Wednesday morning on North Marietta Parkway.
According to a public information release from Officer Chuck McPhilamy of the Marietta Police Department, the initial investigation reports that Chayanne was traveling at a high rate of speed in a 2001 Mercedes CLK 55 AMG and could not maintain his lane.
His car left the roadway, hit a utility pole, and caught fire.
This crash is under investigation by the Marietta Police Department’s STEP Unit, and anyone with information is urged to contact Officer B. Gunkle at 770-794-5357.
