According to a public information release from Officer Joseph Wilson of the Cobb County Police Department, an apparent murder/suicide took place at a Marietta address.
Yesterday, August 13, at around 9:25 a.m., a 911 dispatcher received a call reporting gunshots fired at an Olive Spring Road address.
The 911 call was updated with information about a woman shot.
Officers from Precinct 3 arrived and found a man and woman identified as Eduardo Landaverde, 19, Marietta, and Crystal Mendez, 19, Marietta, dead at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds.
A handgun was located at the site, close to Landaverde.
According to the public information release, “This incident appears to have stemmed from a domestic dispute and all evidence on scene is consistent with murder/suicide.”
This is still an active investigation and anyone with information is asked to phone detectives at 770-499-3945.
