City of Kennesaw announces details of popular annual Fall-O-Ween Fest

The City of Kennesaw distributed the following press release about its popular annual Fall-O-Ween Fest:


Kennesaw, Ga. (Sept. 19, 2024) — The City of Kennesaw’s Parks & Recreation Department invites area ghouls, ninjas, superheroes and princesses to “Spook-Central Park” for its annual Fall-O-Ween Fest on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Swift-Cantrell Park. Admission is free.

Activities will include a candy trail, costume contests, a scavenger hunt, crafts, field games and music. The evening will conclude with a showing of the family-friendly movie Halloweentown (G) after sundown, between 7 to 7:30 p.m. Concessions and unique merchandise from local crafters will be available for purchase beginning at 3 p.m.

The Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Costume Contest will take place every 30 minutes beginning at 3:30 p.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to three winners during each time slot. The contest is open to all ages, including dogs.

The movie will be projected onto a giant inflatable screen. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs for comfort. Pop-up tents, canopies and beach umbrellas that could obstruct the view of others will not be permitted.

Swift-Cantrell Park is located at 3140 Old 41 Highway. Parking is available inside the park and at neighboring Kennesaw Elementary School.

The Fall-O-Ween Fest is presented by Selector Realty and Renasant Bank.
