The votes are in and Cobb County School District has named its 2026 district-wide teachers of the year at the elementary, middle and high school levels.
The winners announced this week are: Kylie Hardy of Mableton Elementary School, Ebony Collier of Tapp Middle School and Lisa Peacock, Osborne High.
Hardy is the lead ESOL teacher at Mableton Elementary. She helps kids from around the world gain needed speaking and writing skills.
Collier teaches in a fine arts program and revamped it by introducing theater.
Peacock is a biology instructor and teaches from a philosophy of movement, collaborating and hands-on learning. She says she aims for a safe and supportive environment in her classroom.
Supt. Chris Ragsdale made surprise visits to three campuses to deliver the news to the winners.
