According to a company press release, Landmark Properties and an affiliate of Paceline Equity Partners have broken ground on The Standard at Kennesaw, a 656-bed off-campus student housing development near Kennesaw State University that is expected to open ahead of the 2028-29 academic year.

The development, at 112 Townpark Drive, will include 157 units with floor plans ranging from studios to six-bedroom apartments. The community is designed to serve Kennesaw State students and will include shuttle service to campus.

“We are excited to commemorate the groundbreaking of The Standard at Kennesaw in collaboration with our partners at Paceline Equity Partners,” said Aaron Stange, Senior Director of Development at Landmark Properties. “Kennesaw State University’s continued enrollment growth has created a greater need for well-located purpose-built student housing – and The Standard at Kennesaw will fill that need starting in fall 2028 when we welcome our first residents.”

According to the developers, The Standard at Kennesaw will be the first large-scale off-campus student housing community developed in Kennesaw in nearly five years.

The property is planned to include more than 11,000 square feet of amenities. Plans call for a resort-style rooftop pool deck with a Jumbotron, grilling area and firepits, along with a clubhouse, fitness center and sauna, golf simulator and open-air courtyards.

Other amenities are expected to include a study lounge with a cafe, bicycle storage and a structured parking deck with space for up to 559 vehicles.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, The Standard at Kennesaw presented a $10,000 donation to Cobb Collaborative, a nonprofit focused on improving the well-being of children and families in Cobb County.

Representatives from Landmark Properties and Paceline Equity Partners attended the ceremony along with Cobb Collaborative associates and members of the local community.
