Free educational session helps family caregivers navigate Medicaid eligibility and services for aging parents.

ACAP Cobb & Cherokee will host Understanding & Accessing GA Medicaid Programs & Benefits on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Covenant Presbyterian Church – Kapperman-Williams Hall, 2881 Canton Road, Marietta, GA. The in-person program is designed to help family caregivers understand how Medicaid can support their aging parents’ healthcare needs.

The program will explain Medicaid eligibility requirements, available services, and benefits specific to Georgia. Attendees will learn how to complete necessary paperwork, identify and locate qualified healthcare providers, and monitor services to ensure quality care. Participants will gain practical tools and knowledge to effectively advocate for their parents’ health and medical coverage.
