Voters in Cobb County continue to turn out at a rapid clip in the early voting period leading up to electionday Nov. 3

As of early Wednesday, the Georgia Secretary of State’ website listed 95, 657 Cobb residents as having cast ballots in the early voting period so far. Officials said Tuesday that’s almost 16 percent of the county’s registered voters, with that number topping out above 565,000. It’s also considerably higher than the votes recorded at the same point of the 2022 election cycle.

Statewide, The Secretary of State’s office said 1,131, 437 ballots had been accepted. Absentee ballots topped 151,000 in the state.

In Cobb County, there are 13 polling places open for business, a number of which have dropboxes.

Early voting wraps up on Oct. 30.
