According to a public information release from Officer Chuck McPhilamy, the Marietta Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (S.T.E.P.) Unit is investigating a single vehicle crash that resulted in life-threatening injuries to the driver.
The incident happened across from 1035 Franklin Gateway on Sunday October 23 at about 10 p.m.
Investigators reported that a 25-year-old Marietta woman driving a a 2017 Hyundai Elantra drove off the roadway, over a pedestrian bridge, and her vehicle landed upside down in Rottenwood Creek.
She was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
This crash is currently under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact Officer K. Bedford at 770-794-5364.
