Fog and Storm alerts issued for North and Central Georgia, including Cobb County

The National weather service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Cobb County and other parts of north and central Georgia due to morning fog Sunday, and expected waves of showers and thunderstorms that are forecast to be at their worst from Tuesday through Friday.

The statement gives the following details:

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE…Tonight…

Areas of dense fog with visibilities of one quarter mile or less

will continue to affect northern and central Georgia through 9 AM

Sunday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Sunday through Friday…

Waves of rainfall and occasional thunderstorms are expected next

week, especially Tuesday through Friday. No severe weather is

expected at this time, but flooding may become a concern by

Friday.
