Collision on C.H. James Parkway
Investigators report that Freddie Allen Few III, 23, was driving a blue 2006 Suzuki when a Paulding County sheriff’s deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on C.H. James Parkway. Few fled at a high rate of speed toward Oglesby Road. A black 2009 Dodge Ram, driven by Guillermo Martinez, 33, of Austell, was traveling northbound on C.H. James preparing to make a left turn onto Oglesby. It crossed into the path of the Suzuki, and the collision caused the Dodge to rotate and overturn onto its roof. Few was ejected from the Suzuki.
The debris from the collision struck another Dodge Ram, but the driver of that vehicle was uninjured.
Few was pronounced dead on the scene. Martinez was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital for treatment of injuries that are not life-threatening.
