Gasoline prices in Georgia showed a slight drop, but the decline has largely stalled out.
According to AAA’s weekly report, gasoline prices in Georgia declined a meager one cent over the past week, reaching an average cost of $3.22 per gallon for regular unleaded.
“The slight rise in crude oil last week has put a damper on the prior decline in gas prices, muddying the waters of hope for cheaper fuel this week,” said Montrae Waiters, AAA-The Auto Club Group spokeswoman.

Gas Prices Continue to Dip
Since last Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline decreased by 3 cents to $3.41 (subject to change overnight).
According to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), gas demand edged higher last week from 8.96 million barrels a day to 9.04. Meanwhile, total domestic gasoline stocks fell from 225.1 to 222.2 million barrels. Gasoline production decreased slightly last week, averaging 9.7 million barrels per day. Tepid gasoline demand and stable oil costs may cause pump prices to slide further.
How does AAA determine gas prices?
