The Marietta-based Georgia Ballet will present a ballet adaptation of the Washington Irving ghost story “Sleepy Hollow” to usher in the Halloween season.

The performances will occur at the Jennie T. Anderson Theater, 548 South Marietta Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060, in the Cobb Civic Center complex.

According to the announcement of the performances on the City of Marietta website:

For the first time, The Georgia Ballet will incorporate digital backdrops into its production, creating an immersive visual experience that enhances the eerie atmosphere of Sleepy Hollow’s haunted village. These cutting-edge visuals will transform the stage, making the legendary tale of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman even more captivating and immersive.

Designed for all ages, Sleepy Hollow offers a family-friendly experience that’s no scarier than a night of trick-or-treating, making it a fun outing for children and parents alike. Audiences will also see talented students from The School of The Georgia Ballet performing alongside the professional company, adding a special community touch to this spooky tale.

But Sleepy Hollow is not just for families. The atmospheric production, filled with eerie elegance, suspense, and romance, is equally suited for a date night. Its captivating choreography and the Halloween ambiance make it an ideal way for couples to celebrate the season while enjoying a night out.

October 3 – 7 p.m. (Sensory-Friendly Performance)

October 4 – 8 p.m.

October 5 – 2 p.m. & 8 p.m

October 6 – 3 p.m.
