While the levels of rivers and streams in most of the state have receded, the  National Weather Service reports that areas of river flooding will continue along the Ocmulgee, Ohoopee and Oconee rivers in central Georgia today, and that the Ocmulgee river will be in flood risk for the remainder of the week.

The following text is from the flood warning alert:

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight…

Areas of river flooding will continue along the Ocmulgee, Ohoopee

and Oconee rivers in central Georgia.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Wednesday through Monday…

Areas of river flooding will continue along the Ocmulgee river in

central Georgia through the end of the week.
