Lisa Vorrasi promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge for GBI Region 10

According to a press release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Lisa Vorrasi has been promoted to Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the GBI Region 10.  The region, which covers nine metro Atlanta counties including Cobb County, is based in Conyers.

She will supervise Special Agents conducting major investigations.  These include police use of force and felonies such as homicide, aggravated assault, rape, child abuse, armed robbery and fraud.

According to the press release:

ASAC Vorrasi began her law enforcement career in July 2006 when she was hired as a Special Agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. ASAC Vorrasi’s first assignment was at the GBI’s Region 10. In 2011, ASAC Vorrasi transferred to the GBI’s West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office where she was detached to a multi-jurisdictional drug task force, Atlanta-Carolinas High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. While serving there, she investigated mid- to high-level drug trafficking organizations.

ASAC Vorrasi obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology from the University of Dayton in 2004. In 2005, ASAC Vorrasi received a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University.
