The Town Center Community submitted the following announcement about the popular Noonday Shanty 5K/10K:

Registration is open for Town Center Community’s fifth annual Noonday Shanty 5K/10K, presented by Avonlea Apartments, set for Saturday, March 28, 2026.

The race will take place along the Noonday Creek Trail and is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. The USA Track and Field-certified event is managed by Start2Finish and welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and experience levels.

Participants will travel through natural landscapes featuring bird habitats, greenspaces and wetlands while passing local landmarks such as Aviation Park, Cobb International Airport and Fifth Third Stadium. The course also includes public art installations and community features along the trail, with 10K runners continuing through additional sections of the district.

The Noonday Shanty 5K/10K is one of Town Center Community’s signature events, drawing runners from across the region while highlighting the area’s trail system and outdoor amenities.
