ACWORTH, Ga. — The City of Acworth and Freedom Church’s annual Acworth Egg Hunt will take place on Friday, March 23, featuring 50,000 eggs and other attractions for children.
The event will take place at the Acworth Sports Complex baseball fields, and activities and concessions open at 6:30 p.m. The eggs are divided by age groups up to 10 years old across four different baseball fields, and the Easter Bunny himself will kick off the hunt by parachuting onto the field at 7:15 p.m.
“In the past we have had between 6,000-10,000 people in attendance and we are hoping to draw the same size crowd this year,” said Michelle Berryman, recreation coordinator for the Acworth Parks, Recreation and Community Resource Department.
Before the hunt, attendees can enjoy concessions, balloon animals, inflatables and face painting. Volunteers can help out with any of the attractions by signing up on the Acworth Egg Hunt website.
The Acworth Sports Complex baseball fields is located at 4000 South Main St. Parking is available at the field. A full schedule of the event and further details can be found at the Acworth Egg Hunt website.
