The Home Depot, headquartered in Cobb County, and one of the county’s largest employers, is adding 1,000 technology professionals to support the company’s $11.1 billion three-year strategic investment plan.  The positions include jobs in software engineering, system engineering, UX design and product management, in the company’s technology centers here and in Austin and Dallas.

In an April 18 press release, Matt Carey, EVP and chief information officer of The Home Depot, was quoted as saying, “With the rapidly changing retail environment, this is easily one of the most exciting places to work in technology. Our team is building some of the most advanced software anywhere to help customers shop whenever, wherever and however they want.”

Carey discusses the company’s technology on the company’s podcast and the job listings are available on the company website.
