UPDATE: According to Sgt. Wayne Delk of the Cobb County Police Department, investigators determined there was no foul play involved in Blake’s death.
The Cobb County Medical Examiners office has positively identified human remains found near Stilesboro Road as missing hiker David Blake.
Sarah O’Hara of the Cobb County Police Department issued the following public information release this afternoon:
In the evening hours of Monday, October 22nd, 2018 National Park Service Rangers and Cobb County Police Department Crimes Against Person’s detectives were notified of possible human remains that were located near Stilesboro Road a good distance away from one of the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park trails.
AdvertisementThe remains were turned over to the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office and have been positively identified as David Blake who went missing on March 9th, 2018.
Next of kin have been notified.
