Lane closures on I-75 in Kennesaw this weekend

According to a press release from Georgia Department of Transportation spokesperson Tori Brown, there will be lane closures on northbound I-75 between between the Chastain Road and Wade Green Road exits in Kennesaw this weekend.

One right lane will be closed on I-75 northbound near the Steve Frey Road Bridge beginning Friday, May 29, from 9:00 p.m. and continuing until 5:00 a.m. Monday, June 3. The closure in due to bridge repairs by GDOT contractors.

The press release describes the work as follows, “This closure will help ensure safety of work crews and drivers as crews demolish concrete and rebuild the bridge joints as part of the bridge rehabilitation project.”

The I-75 message boards will warn drivers in advance, but the GDOT asks that drivers slow down and approach the work site cautiously, to protect both themselves and the highway workers.
