Cobb County’s National Night Out, a yearly event put on by law enforcement agencies nationwide, will be held in Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road SW, Marietta, GA 30008, on Tuesday August 6, from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
According to a press release from the Cobb County Police Department’s Community Affairs Unit:
National Night Out is an initiative by local law enforcement agencies to sponsor a night for the community to come out and mingle with the public safety members that serve their community. We brought out all of our toys including our Mobile Command Vehicle, K-9 Unit, SWAT truck, the motorcycles from the Motors Unit, and even the dirt bikes from the Ranger Unit last year. This year will be no different so grab some friends, the family, and anyone else you can find and come join us!
Riverside community to hold National Night Out event, too
Another National Night Out event is being sponsored by the We Thrive in Riverside Renters Association, on Sunday August 4 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Parkview Apartments, 360 Riverside Parkway, Austell.
It will feature a kickball tournament.
