A woman was arrested for allegedly attempting to rob a Wells Fargo on Powers Ferry Road by claiming to have a bomb yesterday.
According to a public information release from Officer Sydney Melton of the Cobb County Police Department, the department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit is investigating the alleged crime as a “robbery by intimidation.”
Sandra Daniel, 66, of Atlanta, was charged with a robbery in which the suspect allegedly entered the bank on Powers Ferry Road and presented the teller with a note claiming that she had a bomb, and demanding money.
Uniformed officers arrived, the suspect vehicle was located, and an arrest was made without incident
According to the news release, “The incident remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police Department at 770-499-3945.”
