The Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History will host its annual fundraising gala November 8, and guests will be served fare from local restaurants while supporting the museum, according to a news release about the event.

Trains, Tapas & Tastings” will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, at the Southern Museum in downtown Kennesaw. Tickets are $125 per person.

Tax-deductible proceeds will benefit the Kennesaw Museum Foundation

Atlanta Bonded Warehouse  is the title sponsor of this year’s gala.

“The gala is an opportunity to support the museum in a fun way, and we are grateful for the support the community shows every year,” said Dr. Richard Banz, executive director of the Southern Museum. “Attendees can explore the museum and our exhibits in a relaxed, enjoyable environment.”

Restaurants from Kennesaw and Cobb County will provide small plates and desserts for attendees during a cocktail reception that also will feature a selection of beer, wine and spirits from local distilleries.

“No one ever leaves hungry, and attendees can also find in a new favorite restaurant in the process,” Banz said.

There will be a live auction and a prize pull.

Ollie Patterson Music  will provide entertainment for the evening.

The dress code for “Trains, Tapas & Tastings” is event formal.
