The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for  Cobb County and other counties in the region on Sunday, May 7, due to the possibility of thunderstorms.  

What is in the statement?

The statement gives the following details:

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North and Central Georgia.

.DAY ONE…Today and Tonight…

A summer-like pattern will support several rounds of showers and

thunderstorms today and tonight. A few strong storms may be

possible late this evening across North GA with strong winds

being the primary threat.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…Monday through Saturday…

A summer-like pattern will support several rounds of showers and

thunderstorms through the remainder of the week. Predicting the

exact timing and areal extent of the storms is difficult at this

time, but the greatest chances are through Tuesday. Some storms

will be capable of heavy rain, brief strong winds, and cloud-to-

ground lightning.
