Wind advisory for Cobb County from tomorrow morning through Saturday morning

The National Weather Service issued a wind  advisory for Cobb County and other north Georgia counties for Friday January 12.

The advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. Friday until 1 a.m. Saturday morning, with gusts expected to reach 40 mph.

* WHAT…South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph

  expected.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central,

  northeast, northwest, southeast and west central Georgia.

* WHEN…From 10 AM Friday to 1 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.

  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may

  result.
