A Winter Storm Watch is in effect across parts of northeast and east-central Georgia from Friday evening through Sunday morning, where measurable snowfall may lead to slippery road conditions.

There remains a 1 in 3 chance that accumulating snowfall will occur far enough west to cause impacts in the Atlanta metro area.

Very cold temperatures and dangerous wind chills are expected across north and central Georgia this weekend, leading to an extended threat for pipe bursts and cold-related illnesses.
