Mountain View Regional Library Book-A-Librarian Service Available Fridays Through May

A graphic of a stack of books alongside a Cobb County Courier logo

By Kelly Johnson

If the digital age and technology are a struggle, then librarians at Mountain View Regional Library are available every Friday throughout May, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. This outreach is called Book-A-Librarian Tech Help; and helping people is the life of librarians.

If there were ever an image to convey this succinctly, then it would be “The Librarian” by Laura Trinder.

Of course, there are more factual presentations such as Librarians in the Digital Age and an Infographic Roundup, from the School Library Journal. While published in 2014, it establishes that librarians have been ahead of the curve and able to assist more today than ever with setting up online accounts, database searches, or simply downloading eBooks (either to a handheld device or a Kindle).

Make an appointment with a librarian by calling the number below; they are here to help. (Appointments shall be confirmed upon a librarian returning your call.)

Other events scheduled at Mountain View Regional Library are:

  • Red Cross Blood Drive, Tuesday, May 5th at 11:00 AM
  • Page Turners Book Group, Wednesday, May 6th at 10:30 AM

(Heaven & Earth Grocery Store by James McBride)

  • 3D Printing for Beginners, Monday, May 11th at 6:00 PM
  • Library Board of Trustees Meeting, Monday, May 18th at 6:30 PM

Please note that Mountain View Regional Library shall close Monday, May 25th, for Memorial Day.

Contact Mountain View Regional Library for event inquiries or review its May schedule.
