Most of the injuries that send people to an emergency room don’t need one. A rolled ankle at a Saturday game, a knee that gave out on the stairs, a shoulder that won’t lift overhead, a back that locked up carrying a cooler to the car. All of that can be X-rayed, scanned and treated in an orthopedic clinic, without a night in a waiting room full of people who are there for something else entirely.

Closing that gap is why OS1 exists, and we fully opened in Kennesaw this spring. We’re a non-surgical orthopedic clinic, which means our whole focus is getting you moving again: sprains and strains, joint and back pain, sports injuries, fractures, and the wear-and-tear aches that come with age.

No appointment, no referral. Walk in during clinic hours and you can see a provider, get an X-ray and have an MRI in the same visit, under one roof. Our MRI is open, so there’s no tube to get closed into. You go home with answers and a plan, not a phone number for a specialist who can see you in two or three weeks.

A few injuries really do belong in an emergency room, and the list is short: bone through the skin, a joint clearly out of place, numbness or a limb you can’t move, heavy bleeding, or anything from a serious wreck or a bad fall. Short of that, bring it to us.

Our Kennesaw clinic is led by Dr. Andrew Alexander, who trained in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Mayo Clinic and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Emory, where he covered the Atlanta Falcons, the Atlanta Hawks and local high school athletes. He specializes in ultrasound-guided injections and treatments that help the body heal without surgery.

Our name is the promise. Better, sooner.

We’re at 4300 Bells Ferry Road, a short drive from East Cobb.
