Public forum invites the community to help shape Town Center’s vision and priorities for the next 30 years
The Town Center Community distributed the following announcement about its upcoming open house:
The Town Center Community will host an open house for its 30-Year Vision Master Plan Thursday, Sept. 10, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Community Room in Kennesaw. The interactive event invites the community to help shape the future of one of metro Atlanta’s key corridors over the next three decades.
The 30-Year Vision Master Plan will establish a long-term vision for Town Center and guide priorities for future investment, development and placemaking. Input gathered during the open house will help the project team understand what the community values most, identify opportunities for improvement and envision what Town Center could become.
“Town Center’s future should reflect the people who know it best,” said Tracy Styf, executive director of the Town Center Community Improvement District. “Whether someone lives, works, studies, owns a business or property, or simply enjoys spending time here, their experience offers an important perspective. We hope the community will join us, share what matters and bring us their biggest ideas for Town Center’s future.”
Interactive activities will include adding ideas directly to maps, identifying areas of interest, participating in vision exercises and speaking with members of the project team.
The open house is free and open to the public. Children’s at Town Center is at 625 Big Shanty Road NW, Kennesaw, Ga. 30144.

About the Town Center 30-Year Vision Master Plan
The Town Center 30-Year Vision Master Plan is a community-driven planning effort to establish a long-term vision for Town Center. Building on the area’s unique assets and strengths, the plan will explore opportunities to enhance destinations, transportation connections, parks and public spaces, economic vitality, and quality of life. Through community engagement, technical analysis and collaboration with local stakeholders, the plan will identify strategies and priorities to guide future investment, development and placemaking initiatives over the next three decades.
About the Town Center Community
Town Center Community is comprised of the Town Center Community Improvement District (CID) and its nonprofit partner, the Town Center Community Alliance.
The Town Center CID, established in 1997, is focused on safety, beautification, economic growth, and infrastructure improvements within the district. For larger infrastructure projects, the CID leverages its funding to complete the critical first steps like planning, studies, and initial concept design that make projects more competitive for federal, state, and local funding.
Established in 2015, the Town Center Community Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on bringing quality-of-life improvements and programs to the Town Center Community. The Alliance is run by a board of directors and relies on donations from the public, community partners, corporate sponsors, and the Town Center CID to fully fund and develop projects and programs. From public art and aesthetic fixtures to small parks and bikeshare, the Alliance helps attract businesses and residents to the area, boost economic development and shape a sense of community.
Together, the Town Center CID and the Alliance work to make Town Center Community one of the most accessible, prosperous and exciting areas in Metro Atlanta.
