Georgia Power to conduct traffic pacing for power line stringing across I-20 and I-285 Oct 10

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced that Georgia Power will conduct intermittent traffic pacing on I-20 and I-285 on October 10 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at following locations:

        1. I-20 Eastbound: From Thornton Rd (Exit 44) to I-285
        2. I-20 Westbound: From Joseph E Lowery Blvd (Exit 55) to I-285
        3. I-285 Northbound: From SR 154 (Exit 5) to I-20
        4. I-285 Southbound: From Atlanta Rd (Exit 16) to I-20

This is to string new power lines across the interstate. If postponed due to inclement weather, the work will take place on October 11 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drivers should expect delays and plan alternative routes.
