Smyrna police who arrested a suspect in a July murder case this week are trying to nail down further information.
Police say on July 28, they were called to a single car wreck in the 3 thousand block of Atlanta Road. They arrived to find a man inside that vehicle with a gunshot wound. Police issued a murder warrant for a Trey Webb on July 31.
On October 8 police responded to an auto theft call in the 1800 block of Spring Road and arrived to find two men allegedly entering autos. One of them was Trey Webb, was arrested on the murder warrant and other charges.
Now police say they’re hunting for a man seen on surveillance video who was with Webb both before and after the shooting. They think he may have information on the case. Anyone with information’s being asked to call Detective Eric Schum 678-631-5416 or email him at eschum@smyrnaga.gov. Police say all this can remain anonymous.
