The Trust For Public Land, Cobb County and Smyrna city officials cut the ribbon Thursday on a new half-mile section of the Riverlands Showcase Trail at Riverview Park in Smyrna.
The paved section marks the opening of the northern section of the nearly 3-mile Cobb Riverlands Showcase project.
Trust for Public Land and Smyrna officials say it’s designed to connect hundreds of nearby residents to running, biking and other recreational activities along the river. The project is designed to run along the Chattahoochee River between I‑285 and Mableton Parkway, linking Riverview Park in Smyrna to Discovery Park in Mableton.
