Avid community volunteer Barry Krebs submitted the following report with photos about a business luncheon organized by the First Christian Church of Mableton:
The First Christian Church of Mableton hosted the second Purposeful Professional Business Luncheon which was a great opportunity for local businesses and nonprofits to network and learn from each other.
Lunch was provided by the Mableton Supermarket-Carnceria La Mexicana. Desert was provided by Jeramiah’s frozen treats.
Heidi Dasinger introduced our speakers which includes author and productivity expert, Arica J Smith who provided us with precious insight on how to manage be from “stuck” to “unstoppable”.
She encourages us to bring our whole self to our business including our faith. She also wants us to move from being a hard worker to being an excellent executioner by following these four steps:
- Clarity-set clear, concise goals for each day
- Value productivity over being busy
- Building a frictionless environment
- Embracing power and proximity which includes surrounding yourself with people who do not slow you down.
Each morning ask yourself, “What do you want?”.
Do not get slowed down by FEAR.

After the meeting, there was a long line of attendees wanting to purchase her book.
First Christian Church of Mableton Pastor, Dr Andy Daniell provided us with spiritual guidance by discussing Colossians3:23 “whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
He urged us to focus on pleasing God by doing each task with excellence and integrity, serve others with a positive attitude, and being faithful in both large and small responsibilities.
We closed the meeting with an Atlanta United ticket giveaway. Everyone in the audience had a great time and learned a lot.
