Sweep the Hooch Cleanup at Discovery Park in Mableton Draws Strong Community Support

Avid community volunteer Barry Krebs submitted the following report with photos about Sweep the Hooch at Discovery Park in Mableton:

“Sweep The Hooch” at Discovery Park was a big success due to the hard work
of The Chattahoochee Riverkeepers, the Trust For Public Land, BIRDS Georgia,
Legacy At The River Line HOA, South Cobb Lions Club and great neighbors.
Together, we removed over half a dumpster full of litter, tires and debris
from the Chattahoochee River.  The weather was perfect and the river was low
enough for us to be very thorough.  What a glorious way to celebrate Earth
Day.
