Avid community volunteer Barry Krebs submitted the following report with photos about the ribbon-cutting for the Paint Love mural that will be installed at Discovery Park in Mableton:
Attendees had a great opportunity to celebrate the completion of a mental health mural created by Paint Love during a ribbon-cutting event at the Cobb Collaborative office.
Local establishments, including Glenn’s Cafe and the First Christian Church of Mableton (FCCM), hosted sections of the mural, allowing community members to participate by painting at those locations.
The ribbon-cutting featured remarks from Commissioner Sheffield, City of Mableton Councilman TJ Ferguson, representatives from Paint Love and Cobb Collaborative, FCCM’s Barry Smith, and others.
The mural will be displayed at Switzer Library before eventually being moved to Discovery Park.
