Cobb County is still growing, but a number of its neighboring metro counties are outpacing it.
Numbers released by the Atlanta Regional Commission this week showed that the county grew by 0.5 percent between April of 2025 and the same month this year and is knocking on the door of 800,000 residents at 799,349.
In raw numbers, the county added 3,600 residents.
While a positive change, the county’s growth rate was dwarfed by a number of counties in the 11-county metro area.
Fulton County, for example, posted a growth rate of 1.9 percent while Forsyth leaped by 1.5.
Cobb’s growth rate this year was very similar to the numbers it posted between 2024 and 2025.
