Cobb County issued a news release that the boil water advisory that was put in effect for part of north central Cobb County yesterday has been lifted.
The announcement is as follows:
Cobb County Water System has lifted the boil water notice for all customers. Customers no longer need to boil water used for drinking, cooking and making ice. Water quality testing confirmed that tap water meets all regulatory standards and is safe for human consumption. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact (770) 419-6200.
Background
Cobb County announced yesterday that a sensor failure caused a low-pressure situation in an area surrounding Sandy Plains and Wigley Road.
Although service was restored the same day, state Environmental Protection Division regulations required that testing from multiple location be subitted for testing.
