9:46PM Joann Vansant located safe in Butts County
Officer Chuck McPhilamy of the Marietta Police Department issued the following public information release about a woman reported missing:
“Seventy-nine-year-old Joann Vansant has been missing since roughly 10:00 this morning, March 14, 2023.
“She drove herself to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, arriving just before 10:00 AM. She did not have an appointment at the clinic and left after speaking with a nurse.
“Joann drives a 2008 Silver Honda CRV, Georgia license plate number PCB2828 and is on camera driving away from the hospital shortly after arriving.
“Her last known direction of travel was South on Highway 41 around 10:40 AM. We do not have a good description of her clothing, but a photo of her is attached. A Mattie’s Call was activated earlier this evening.
“Anyone with information about her location is urged to call 911 immediately.”
