Food distribution at Friendship Revival Center
Barry submitted the following report and photos from the Friendship Revival Center food distribution
Sweetwater Mission appreciates the new volunteers from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the South Cobb High School Beta Club as well as the regular volunteers from the First Christian Church Of Mableton and South Cobb Lions Club for assisting them in loading food into cars at the drive-thru food distribution at the Friendship Revival Center. We were able to serve our guests in an efficient and friendly manner-even the furry guests. We did our best to let our guests know that they are loved and valued as we served them. We also let them know that there will be no food distribution the following week.
Waverly Trailer Park food distribution
Barry submitted the following report and photos from the Waverly Trailer Park food distribution:
On Friday morning at The Waverly Trailer Home Park, Sweetwater Mission had their final food distribution of the year at this location. They were fortunate enough to have volunteers from the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the South Cobb Lions Club to help them. With over 300 families driving thru, we needed the help. The weather warmed up as the day progressed and everyone had a great time as we served our neighbors. We did our best to ensure that our clients have a great Christmas meal.
