The National Weather Service issued a wind  advisory for Cobb County and other counties in the region on Wednesday March 5.

The advisory is in effect until 7 p.m. this evening.

* WHAT…Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.

* WHERE…Portions of central, east central, north central,

  northeast, northwest, southeast, and west central Georgia.

* WHEN…Until 7 PM EST this evening.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree

  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high

profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

Secure outdoor objects.
