Would you like to meet with your community police officers in a relaxed and informal setting? The Cobb County Police Department’s Community Affairs Unit is holding one of its  “Coffee with a Cop” events on Thursday, June 21, 8:30 am until approximately 9:30 am., at the Dunkin’ Donuts at 836 Veterans Memorial Highway SE, Mableton, Ga. 30126

According to the announcement from Sgt. Jeff Tatroe, who supervises the Community Affairs Unit,

These events will generally be held twice monthly, with one being in the a.m. hours and the other in the p.m. hours. If you are not able to make it due to scheduling conflicts, please watch Nextdoor for an upcoming Coffee-With-A-Cop event that works with your schedule.

Coffee-With-A-Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together–over coffee–to discuss issues and learn more about each other. In the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee, citizens and police officers can get to know each other and discover mutual goals for the communities they live in and serve. Officer Penirelli and Officer Conwell (Pct. 2 Community Affairs officers) and other Cobb Police officers will be present to engage in discussion. The event will allow you to discuss matters that are most important to you and your neighborhood(s).
