Video on how to get the most from a job fair

KSU’s Department of Career Planning and Development included a four-minute instructional video entitled “How to Work a Career Fair,” which we’ve embedded at the bottom of this article.  It has practical tips, including how to dress, researching the companies you’d most like to work for, bringing enough copies of your resume, bringing different versions of your resume targeted at specific industries.  It also suggests that you get your resume critiqued before the career fair.

The video also recommends preparing a short “elevator speech,” a very brief sales pitch for yourself targeted at the companies.  The video also recommends preparing questions for the recruiters in advance.
