The sixth annual Acworth Craft Beer and Wine Festival will take place on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 1-5 p.m. in Historic Downtown Acworth. Attendees can sample beers, wines and ciders from craft micro and macro breweries all over Georgia and beyond.
Brewers will set up covered booths on the streets of Downtown Acworth, pouring unlimited samples of over 100 beers, over 25 wines and a variety of cider. There will also be food trucks and live music from The Geeks Band. The festival is organized by Atlanta Beer Festivals, which puts on a series of seasonal beer festivals in Metro Atlanta every year.
“The most popular breweries at all of our events, including the ones in Atlanta, are the Atlanta and Georgia-based breweries,” said Director of Operations Mike DiLonardo. “It’s hyper-local, and people tend to gravitate toward the brewers that work just down the road from them, and also some old standbys like Sam Adams.”
Although there are not yet any craft breweries operating in Acworth, festivals like the Acworth Craft Beer Fest are an opportunity to sample beers from local craft and national breweries. Cobb County brewers Burnt Hickory Brewery, Dry County Brewing Company, Ironmonger Brewing, Red Hare Brewing , and Treehorn Cider will each have booths at the festival.
It’s a rain or shine event, and attendees of last year’s festival will remember crowds huddled together in private parties while rain pounded the covered beer tents. This year is looking sunny, but come prepared for inclement weather just in case.
The festival is 21+ only, no kids or pets allowed. Limited parking is available, but the festival recommends using carpooling or ridesharing services for safety. Designated driver tickets are available for only $15 at the gate.
Tickets are $40 in advance and $50 the day of the event. The address for Historic Downtown Acworth is 4375 Richard B Russell Square, Acworth, GA.
