UPDATE: According to Officer O’Hara Mergilga Morales was found last night and reunited with her family.
Sarah O’Hara of the Cobb County Police Department reports that a Mableton woman, Mergilga Morales, 77, of a Brookside Drive address, is missing from her home. The department’s Crimes Against Persons Division, which handles Mission Person reports, has issued a BOLO (be on the lookout).
Morales was last seen in her Brookside Drive residence at around 7:30 a.m. She does not have transportation, and does not have money with her.
The report describes her as a Hispanic female, 5’02” in height, and approximately 138 pounds. She takes medication for diabetes and high blood pressure.
She was reported to have made statements about wishing to return to Mexico, but her family had not arranged for her to return.
The public information release states requests that If you see her, call 911 or 770=499-3911 (non-emergency number). Any other information can be given to the Cobb County Crimes Against Persons Division, at 770-499-3945. The Case Agent is Detective Schrager.
