The Cobb County budget process can be confusing, so residents have a chance to take part in a workshop called Budget 101.

To help Cobb residents understand the process by which the county settles on a budget and sets the millage rate, county finance staff will conduct a one-hour informational workshop on Tuesday July 16, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the BOC Room on the second floor of 100 Cherokee St., Marietta.

Immediately after the workshop the next scheduled budget hearing will be held in the same room, so you can give your input on Cobb’s budget.

After the budget hearing on July 16, there will be one more opportunity to give your input, on Tuesday July 23 at 7 p.m. during the regular BOC meeting.
