The GDOT sent out the following press release this morning:
Emergency lane closure on Mableton Parkway for Sewer Repair
What: Cobb County Water System will close one right lane and shoulder on SR 139/Mableton Parkway for emergency repairs to an underground sewage line.
WHEN: The repair is currently ongoing; lane closure will remain in place during repair work.
WHERE: SR 139/Mableton Parkway between Bonanza Trail and Hunnicut Rd
ADVISORY: Motorists are reminded to reduce their speeds while traveling through the work zone, and to buckle up, eliminate distractions behind the wheel, and plan their routes before getting on the road. Call 511 for real-time information on work status and traffic conditions.
